Your Voice, Your Choice – Voting

If you have not voted yet in the City of Seattle “Your Voice, Your Choice” Participatory Budgeting process, now is the time! Voting goes till JUNE 30.

According to the city site: Your Voice, Your Choice: Parks & Streets is a participatory budgeting initiative in which Seattle residents democratically decide how to spend a portion of the City’s budget on small-scale park and street improvements. A total of $285,000 is set aside in each City Council District, and residents can cast their ballots for their top three choices in the district where they live, work, go to school, receive services, or volunteer.

You can vote in only one district, so you can choose to vote where you live, or work, or volunteer. And you can vote for 3 projects, so you can support a project near where you live/work and some other great projects too.

I would personally like to recommend the Project in District 4 (NE Seattle) entitled: MAGNUSON PARK: Accessibility Improvements between Sand Point Way NE & “A” St, which will Connect “A” St in the Solid Ground Campus to Sand Point Way NE and build 2 curb ramps to provide access for those with
mobility restrictions.

This is an important project which can ease access from Solid ground housing to Sand Point Way where the buses run.

Please vote! And please consider the Magnuson Park & Sand Point Way Project. (There are 2 Magnuson Park projects.)
