Apply to serve on the Sand Point Naval Air Station Landmark District Committee: The Landmarks Preservation Board is seeking a new member to serve on the Sand Point Naval Air Station Landmark District Application Review Committee (SPARC).
The open position is for a community member with a demonstrated interest in the history and preservation of the Sand Point Naval Air Station Landmark District, one of the City’s eight historic districts. The five-member Application Review Committee makes recommendations to the Landmarks Preservation Board for Certificates of Approval, which are requests to make physical changes to designated features of the District. Committee meetings are scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month and are held at a location within the District. Committee members serve without compensation.
