Spring Forward! Time changes March 13
Sail Sand Point, at the North end of Magnuson Park, is hosting the NWISA High School Combined Division Regatta this weekend, March 12th & 13th at Magunson Park. They will have a burger food truck there on Sat from 11-2 and a chicken food truck on Sunday from 11-2. (Park visitors who are just interested in checking out the food trucks are most welcome!) The regatta is the High School Combined Division Regatta. There will be high school students competing from regional high schools both days from 11- 5. The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is set to begin repaving Roosevelt Way NE from NE 65th St to the south end of the University Bridge. Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, March 14, and is expected take six to eight months to complete. The contractor will remove the top several inches of asphalt, make any needed repairs to the underlying road base, and then repave with new asphalt. SDOT appreciates the public’s patience while this work is being completed.

Highlights: March 11 – 14: Eastbound I-90 closed between Seattle and Bellevue. Traffic will be diverted to the express lanes.
March 12: Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Downtown.
March 13: Annual St. Pat’s Day Dash will close streets in Downtown Seattle and South Lake Union.
March 14: Roosevelt Way NE Paving and Safety Improvements project begins.
March 14 – 15: SR520 closed in both directions between Montlake Blvd. and Bellevue.
March 18 – 19: 2nd Ave. closed between Pike St. and Union St. during a large concrete mat pour.
March 19: Grand Opening of Sound Transit’s U-Link stations on Capitol Hill and at Husky Stadium.
