Mary Amberg has been hired as the new SPD North Precinct Crime Prevention Coordinator and will serve the 25 neighborhoods in the North Precinct Area boundaries. Amberg, is currently completing training, which she said she hopes to finish in the first week or two of February, before she steps into her new role.
Amberg replaces Elizabeth Scott who replaced Terri Johnson who replaced Diane Horswill. In past years, the positions of six Crime Prevention Coordinators were eliminated due to budget cuts and loss of federal grants.
