Vote in the Primary Election on August 4

There are 47 candidates running for nine seats on the Seattle City Council!

There are two Port of Seattle commissioners to choose, a director of King County Elections and multiple school board races!

King County Proposition 1 will also be on the ballot.  This would authorize bonds for Fire Protection district #50 (Skykomish) to fund operations which include fighting forest fires and search and rescue.  There is no organized opposition to the measure, but it needs 60% to pass.

If you are NE Seattle and like to wait till the very last minute to vote, there is usually an open drop box in Magnuson Park near the Brig, open till 8 P.M.  A final list of open drop boxes is not posted till about 30 days before the election, so check for ballot drop boxes here for better info.
