This $900+ million nine-year levy would replace the existing Bridging the Gap levy that expires this year. The proposed new levy would be paid for through a property tax that would cost the median Seattle household (valued at $450,000) about $275 per year, for nine years.
The expiring Bridging the Gap levy costs the median Seattle household about $130 per year. Among other projects, the levy would build over 50 miles of new protected bike lanes and 60 miles of greenways. When added to work already underway to implement the Bicycle Master Plan, this would complete half of the Bicycle Master Plan network.
