Fight Hunger, Build Hope is University District Food Bank’s three-year, $3.6 million capital campaign designed to greatly expand our distribution and storage capacity and enhance our ability to provide nutritious meals to families in need.
University Commons, our new facility, will offer superior access to vital community resources and training that will help our customers lift themselves out of poverty.
The official groundbreaking for the food bank’s new facility, University Commons, is here! We are thrilled and hope you can join us.
The ceremony will be Tuesday, June 16th at 3:30 p.m. at the new site — 5019 Roosevelt Way NE — just north of the corner of 50th & Roosevelt.
Elected officials and our partners, LIHI and YouthCare, will be there to commemorate this special occasion. We hope you will attend to show support for the project and help us celebrate one big milestone.
Friends and family are welcome.
